About The Artist

Faduma (Fatoush) Hassan is a Toronto-based multidisciplinary artist, Ontario Certified Teacher, and youth advocate whose work explores identity, community, healing, and belonging. Working across digital illustration, painting, mural art, workshops, and community-engaged projects, she draws from her lived experience as a Black Muslim woman to celebrate diverse stories and encourage people to take up space unapologetically.

Grounded in the belief that art has the power to serve humanity in profound ways, Fatoush creates work that uplifts, represents, and connects people. This philosophy extends across her creative practice, including her role as Senior Graphic Designer for MWSBL, where she explores the intersections of sport, culture, and identity while fostering community and belonging through visual storytelling.

Why the name Paint4humanity?

I believe art has the power to do more than express; it can connect, represent, inspire, and create change. I can attest to how art has changed my life and how much it has given me. I want to share that experience and my love for art with others. I want that power to be at the heart of how I create, whether it’s helping someone feel seen, simply bringing a smile to someone’s face, or raising funds for humanitarian causes.

My art is rooted in intention, with the hope that every piece can make a difference, no matter the scale.

Together, with the support of this beautiful community, we’ve raised $1,519 thus far for humanitarian causes. Above are some of the fundraisers I’ve been honoured to be part of, along with some fun workshop collaborations. A reminder of what we can accomplish when creativity meets purpose and community!
